New Product: Okito Box
Posted by alan paget on
One of the classics of magic, and perfect for close up or table hoping, the Okito Box is suitable for beginners or professionals alike.
When I got into magic, this was one of the first tricks I got my hands on, and I have used it ever since for the last 31 years!
The Okito box has been credited to Theo Bamberg, conceived around 1911. The box concept came about from a tablet storage box that his colleague used every day, and magicians have loved it ever since.
A fifty-cent piece could seem to appear or disappear from inside the box. One moment the coin was there and in the next it was gone. An idea was born, and soon after magicians around the world could purchase the 'Okito Coin Box'.
The Okito Box stocked by us is a metal box weighing in at a hefty 50g and has a lovely brass / gold finish. Suitable for british £2 coins or American half dollars the box will last you for many years to come.
Instructions are included with the prop, but there has also been many books written about the use of the Okito box, and some of the greatest minds in magic have large sections of their books dedicated to the effect, so finding material will be quite easy.
PLUS - While stocks last, we are able to offer the Okito Box supplied with 4 x American half dollars. Please see the full listing here for details.
It's a great looking trick that takes up no room, and one that you will carry with you everywhere.
Enjoy
Mr. T. Ricks.
